The Media Development Center (MDC), under the auspices of the USAID Project for Media Legal Reform and Responsible Media organizes, on Friday, December 6, 2013, at 11:00 hours, at the Holiday Inn Hotel, a two-hour debate on the topic:
“Broadcasting Council and Transparency”
At the debate, we shall present the conclusions and recommendations of two analyses: “The Media in Macedonian Secondary Legislation” and “Analysis of Decisions of the Broadcasting Council”, and we shall also present the report from the monitoring of the work of the Broadcasting Council.
The debate shall focus on the transparency and the public of the decision-making processes and the overall work and operations of the Broadcasting Council. Media experts Sašo Ordanoski and Klime Babunski will appear as panelists, but we expect representatives of the Broadcasting Council, civil organizations and other relevant institutions and individual to join the debate.
The debate aims to provide a venue to hear the different views and opinions which, together with the conclusions of the analyses prepared by the Media Development Center, will be presented to the Broadcasting Council to serve as basis for improved work of the Council, as well as for preparation of proposals for changes in the existing legislation.
