The Media Development Centre, within the activities for implementation of USAID Programme for Media Legal Reform and Responsible Media, organizes “The Future of Media Regulation in Macedonia” Conference (Monday, 27 May 2013, at the Alexandar Palace Hotel – Congress Hall 3, starting at 10:00 hours).
The conference will discuss the Draft-Law on Media and Audiovisual Media Services, prepared by the Ministry of Information Society and Administration. Also, the Media Development Centre will present its the Analysis of the Draft-Law on Media.
Boiko Boev from ARTICLE19 from London, UK, will talk about contemporary trends in media legislation; and Amy Brouillette from the Central European University from Budapest, Hungary, will present the Hungarian experiences with media legislation.
The Programme for Media Legal Reform and Responsible Media aims to strengthen the freedom of media in Macedonia, and to ensure the integration of international standards in the national regulatory framework.
