The Media Development Centre invites you to take part in the “Data-Journalism” Webinar, which will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, over the online conferencing platform “ZOOM”, starting at 16.00 hours.

The webinar is the third in a series of online workshops that the Media Development Centre organizes under the auspices of the project “Investigative Journalism for the Age of Information Disorder”. The workshops are based on individual chapters of the “Verification Handbook for Investigative Journalism” and the “Guide: Introduction to Investigative Journalism” (published by the Global Investigative Journalism Network GIJN).

The webinars are intended primarily for journalists that do not specialize in investigative journalism and work in legacy, mainstream newsrooms that may need to apply some of the techniques of investigative journalism. They can also be useful to representatives of CSOs that work on their own investigations and face the need to verify their findings or use techniques of investigative journalism. The webinars can also help experienced investigative reporters, having in mind that the “Introduction to Investigative Journalism” covers the latest trends in conducting journalistic investigations, especially in the online domain.

The webinar will be conducted in English. Translation into Macedonian and Albanian languages shall be provided.

The webinar will be held by Pinar Dağ, Turkish Editor at the Global Investigative Journalism Network and lecturer at the Kadir Has University. Pinar Dağ is the co-founder of the Data Literacy Association, Data Journalism Platform Turkey and DağMedya, and has organized workshops on data literacy, open data data visualisation and data journalism since 2012. She is chairperson of the jury of the Sigma Data Journalism Awards. (For more information visit the link https://gijn.org/staff-member/pinar-dag/).

The webinar is organized under the auspices of the “Investigative Journalism for the Age of Information Disorder” project funded by the European Union.
