The Media Development Centre invites you to take part in the “Collaborative Investigations” Webinar, which will be led on Thursday, February 19, 2026, over the online conferencing platform “ZOOM”, starting at 16.00 hours.
The webinar is the third in a series of online workshops that the Media Development Centre organizes under the auspices of the project “Investigative Journalism for the Age of Information Disorder”. The workshops are based on individual chapters of the “Verification Handbook for Investigative Journalism” and the “Guide: Introduction to Investigative Journalism” (published by the Global Investigative Journalism Network GIJN), which will soon be published in Macedonian and Albanian languages.
The webinars are intended primarily for journalists that do not specialize in investigative journalism and work in legacy, mainstream newsrooms that may need to apply some of the techniques of investigative journalism. They can also be useful to representatives of CSOs that work on their own investigations and face the need to verify their findings or use techniques of investigative journalism. The webinars can also help experienced investigative reporters, having in mind that the “Introduction to Investigative Journalism” covers the latest trends in conducting journalistic investigations, especially in the online domain.
The webinar will be conducted in English. Translation into Macedonian and Albanian languages shall be provided.
The webinar will be held by Sandrine Rigaud, Programme Director of the Global Investigative Journalism Network. She teaches investigative journalism at the School of Journalism of Sciences Po Paris. She is an investigative journalist and former editor-in-chief of Forbidden Stories, where she led international cooperations involving up to 100 journalists and 30 media outlets. Those include Pegasus, Story Killers, the Cartel Project. She has produced documentaries for PBS Frontline, BBC Storyville, Arte and France Televisions, including the awarded documentaries Global Spyware: Exposing Pegasus, Malta: In Daphne’s Name, and Slovakia: The Murdered Fiances. The webinar is organized under the auspices of the “Investigative Journalism for the Age of Information Disorder” project funded by the European Union.
